VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES
               

October 9, 2018 Last day to register to vote through the Boone County Clerk’s Office, local registrars, Secretary of State facilities and by mail.
October 21, 2018 Last day to register to vote through the Illinois State Board of Elections website.

               
 
VOTE BY MAIL
 
The Boone County Clerk’s Office will start accepting Vote by Mail applications from Boone County registered voters for the November 6, 2018 General Election starting August 8, 2018. The last day applications will be accepted by mail is November 1, 2018. Official ballots will be mailed starting September 27, 2018.

Applications are also available at the Boone County Clerk’s Office or call (815) 544-3103 and the office will mail one to you. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Please note the office will be closed Monday, September 3, 2018 in observance of Labor Day.

EARLY VOTING
 
Early Voting for Boone County registered voters for the November 6, 2018 General Election will begin on Thursday, September 27, 2018 and end Monday, November 5, 2018. Early Voting will be conducted at the Boone County Clerk’s Office, 1212 Logan Ave, Suite 103, Belvidere, IL 61008. The office is open Monday – Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM. The office will also be open on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Please be aware that if you come on November 3rd or 5th you may experience long lines/waiting times.

GRACE PERIOD REGISTRATION AND VOTING
 
Grace Period Registration and Voting will begin on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 and end November 6, 2018. Grace Period Registration and Voting is for eligible Boone County residence who have not registered or need to update their information and have not done so by the close of registration. It will only be conducted at the Boone County Clerk’s Office. It will not be done at the polling places. Residents will need two (2) forms of identification; one must have your current address. After registering, you must then vote in the office at that time.
 
The Boone County Clerk’s Office is located at 1212 Logan Ave, Suite 103, Belvidere, IL 61008. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM. We will also be open on Saturday, November 3, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 we will be open from 6:00AM to 7:00PM. Please be aware that if you come November 3rd, 5th,  or 6th you may experience long lines/waiting times.

ELECTION DAY
 
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Boone County residents whose registrations are current and up to date go to their specified polling place to vote. Polling places are open from 6:00AM to 7:00PM. To find out where your polling is located you may check online by clicking here, refer to your Voter’s ID card or call the Boone County Clerk’s Office at (815) 544-3103.
